Breweries featured in Wine Country Beer scored big at the Brewers Association World Beer Cup awards announcement on April 10. Thirteen wine country and San Francisco Bay Area beers were honored with medals.
Winning 2010 Champion Brewery and Brewmaster for a Mid-Size Brewing Company was Firestone Walker Brewing Company of Paso Robles. This is third time the brewery has won this designation. It had six medal-winning beers this year. Congratulations to Matthew Brynildson, brewmaster.

This year’s competition featured a record 3,330 beers entered in 90 style categories. Exactly 642 breweries from 44 countries on six continents vied for medals. Judges presented 268 awards.
